During the second term students from our course, 1st of ESO, have studied the different styles of popular music and we have done an interesting project about any style of music we have learnt. We decided to do a project about country music. Country music, in the 1920s, began as the folk music of poor while Americans in rural areas of the southern states. Also, we discovered a lot of new things we didn´t know about, for example, there are five main types: country soul, country rock, outlaw country, country pop and neocountry. Among all the artists of this style, our favourite one is Taylor Swift who sings country pop. Some of the most important instruments are the harmonica, the acoustic guitar and the uprightbass. We didn´t know anything about country music before, but now we love it!
